About SetGate Studios
We’re a video studio rental company focused on predictable production. We design rooms that measure well—and feel better to work in.
Our story
SetGate Studios began as a crew’s wish list: quiet rooms, labeled power, and lighting that matched what the camera saw. We opened our first space with an obsessive focus on signal integrity across sound, color, and electricity.
Today we operate multiple rooms—from compact interview suites to a large cyc stage—while keeping the promise of consistent, measurable results.
Mission & values
- Predictability: Rooms measure to spec and stay that way.
- Safety: Electrical, rigging, and load-in follow written procedures.
- Care: Producers deserve spaces that respect schedule and budget.
Milestones
- 2021 — First interview suite launched with floating floor and decoupled walls.
- 2022 — Greenscreen room added with even 5600K field and 90+ CRI.
- 2024 — Stage XL opens with 40 ft white cyc and isolated HVAC.
- 2026 — Power monitoring and acoustic logs published for transparency.
Production process
We prep rooms to match the call sheet: power distribution, lighting presets, and reference audio. On arrival, crews find a labeled environment ready to roll.
How we prepSafety practices
Load-in routes are clear, rigging points are rated, and circuits are protected with GFCI where appropriate.

Meet usAcoustics glossary
RT60 (reverberation time)
Time required for sound to decay by 60 dB; lower values help spoken word clarity.
Noise floor
Baseline ambient noise in a room measured in dBA; lower is better for recording.
Isolation
How well the room blocks outside noise (e.g., STC rating).
